In the box pt. 2
When I got off the train at Kenwick yesterday, I kept my eyes peeled for that car that had caused everyone to not be able to park in their bays properly. Finally, I spotted it; a big silver station wagon. Now I have nothing against station wagons, I'm sure they're very useful when you have a big family or if you like going off-road driving. But for God's sake, at least park the damn things properly! Its already big enough that its going to take up most of the allocated space, can you imagine when its parked out of the lines? I almost agree that people owning them should have to pay more in road fees, taxes and parking fees.At the point of walking past, I wasn't pissed off or anything. I wasn't even that upset inthe morning, just annoyed. But I had decided that there are people like that who are actually going to keep doing it because they just don't care. Which is why I figured keying the car would be a good idea. That is something that they can understand. Plus it would greatly inconvenience them. Anyway, I was just walking past this car when a lady (bleached blonde trailer trash) gets into it. *sigh* So no sweet revenge fo me.The weird thing is, when I was telling Su about this at my dad's place, everyone was so shocked that I had even considered keying the car. Ummm, why? At least my mom understood where I was coming from. But seriously people just acn't drive these days. Obviously, they can't park either. To reiterate my ending of this blog yesterday, WANKERS!!!
In the box!
As per usual, I drove to Kenwick train station this morning for work. I usually leave my car in the carpark that's closer to the platform where the train heads to Armadale. Its a closer walk after work. Anyway, was parking my car today and out of habit, just opened up my door to make sure I was fully in my space and not to close to either side. And I noticed that while I wasn't too close to the car to my right, I was very far into the box. Then I also noticed that that car was actually IN my square. I went as close to it as I dared, since at least I knew I'd be careful with my own door, rather than some half-baked idiot would be when parking on the other side of my car. When I got out of the car, I toyed with the idea of scratching that other car but decided not to. It would be better if I wanted till when I was driving off, just in case the owner of that car made it home before me. As I walked past all the cars to the platform to Perth, I saw that quite a lot of cars had parked too close to the left, in fact going over the line. Maybe about 4 or 5 cars. But anyway, there was the 1st over-the-line carsomewhere in the middle of all of that. So I thought, maybe I should do everyone else a favour and scratch that car later today. Its not everyone else's fault that they had to park too far to the left because of that 1 single moron.Well why not? If people can't bloody park, they shouldn't be allowed to fucking drive! And if they did drive and do a shitty job of parking, then they MUST expect that people are going to get annoyed and will take it out on them. Being late for the train is not a viable excuse either. Thanks to all this bad parking, I had to re-park and consequntly had to run for the train. So no sympathies at all. Wankers!
Raindrops keep falling on my head
The past week has been warm and sunny. In fact, Monday was sunny with 29 degrees. Today, a mere 2 days later, the temp has dropped by 10 degrees. Which in itself wouldn't be so bad, only its been coupled with wind and rain. A LOT of wind and rain. And of course, I would get caught in it. I was prepared though. Given that I'm meeting Jane at Kookai after work, I cleverly decided to bring a change of clothes. Especially since that given the wear, I wasn't going to wear a skirt and my trousers have been altered with my black Nine West stilettoes in mind i.e the DEFINITELY require heels. And a certain height of heel too, I may add. And there's no way I'm walking from Perth train station to work and then stand/walk all evening in those shoes. I'm sorry, they're gorgeous but decidedly not meant for extended wear. And there's no way I can wear my work trousers with flats in the rain.So I came to work wearing jeans and ballet flats. And a black hooded cardy. I did change before I stepped into the office though. But I was tempted to see if I could just do jeans the entire day. :) But its back into that when I leave. I just hope its not still raining then.
Working Girl
I have recently got a job temping at the Department of Indigenous Affairs. I'm just covering for one of the EAs who's gone on annual leave. I'm actually hoping to just get temp jobs from now till I go to Malaysia on holiday. That way I won't need to apply for leave or anything. Plus with temp jobs, the pay is usually higher per hour, so in theory, I should be making more.
And I could always take little 2 or 3 day breaks in between jobs. Which is always good, since Kimi hasn't yet learnt that she's not a human baby and isn't supposed to demand so much attention and keep me awake in the early morning. I actually locked her out of the bedroom this morning, she was really doing my head in. She was surprisingly good about it.
Need to do the food shopping today. Am realising once again why not working can be so much nicer. Its not a mad rush to get to the supermarket on time. I finish work at 4.30. Assuming I can get to the Perth train station by the 4.47 train, I should be able to make it to Kenwick by 5.15 and hopefully, get to Coles by 5.30. Grrr....
Had fish and chips for dinner last night. That in itself woulnd't be surprising, but for the fact Scott was the one who suggested it, and he doesn't eat seafood. Well, he does occasionally have prawns, some chilli mussels, and battered fish with lots of tartar sauce. So long as they don't actually taste like seafood.
Meeting Jane tomorrow for a VIP night at Kookai. Not sure if I'll be buying stuff from there, but I saw some gorgeous shoes in Zomp on the way to work today. And Zomp is beside Kookai, and I have about an hour's wait before meeting Jane. I think I'll have to try on some shoes tomorrow. Will definitely have to update on that tomorrow.
