New Addition

There is a new addition to my little family. As of yesterday, my gorgeous Smudge has a little sister. As per usual, Scott and I didn't set out to get a new cat. It just happened. She's all black, very tiny and very cute. At this point Smudge is still viewing her with more trepidation than glee but hopefully that'll change in a few days.

My sister's staying with me so she's been baby-sitting. It seems that Smudge follows Pepper around and watches her, occasionally jumping on her, swatting her with his paws and giving a few bites. But she gives as good as she gets. I'm really hoping they're just playing, no damage seems to have been done, at any rate.

Its quite strange having such a small animal in the house. Smudge has grown so much it was hard to imagine him as a kitten. And its odd, picking one up after the other; one so heavy and the other weighing nothing at all...
